Would have to think Hicks and Emerton are second tier compared to these guys. Nyman could seriously compete for #1 this year. A defence in back to back at #1 would be something

I saw this on eliteprospects, recently. Are you the one who made this list there? if so welcome to HF, and we hope to see more of your contributions moving forward

Below you will find the starter spreadsheet of GTHL players who are eligible for the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. The list of players was graciously provided by @GermanSpitfire - big thanks to GermanSpitfire for not only making the list but allowing me to use it. I've sorted them by the "rank" he has them and attempted to colour code the teams out a bit. I'll probably make another version that has the players sorted by their teams - I feel like the readability is a little rough on this one.

First attempt: View attachment 721129
Koukouves - Defenseman, RHD.

Good overall list of names.

Players to add:
Ryan Chamberlin (Forward) - Toronto Marlies
Maddox Dagenais (Forward) - Quinte
Jackson Halloran (Forward) - YSE
JC Lemieux (Forward) - Quinte

For fun discussion -- my opinions on guys ive seen...

Bray too high 13th on list (40-60)
Amidovski too low 52nd on list (15-25)

Would be the only switch I'd make going into the season.

This draft class has a deep Top-60/80 players talent-wise.

Never too early to start discussing next years OHL crop.
Here is a rough list of 40 names I compiled a few months ago of 2008 born kids to keep an eye on. It‘s not nessarily a ranking, just a list of 40 guys I found interesting and have highlighted.

I hope to be following this age group as much, if not more than the 2007 born group. Looks to be a good group early on. There is no clear cut #1 kid, any one of the top-10 right now I can see laying a claim to the #1 spot.

I’ll be sure to be active in this thread throughout the year and provide updates as I see fit.

1Logan Hawery (F)Barrie Colts U16 AAA
2Adam Valentini (F)Mississauga Senators U16 AAA
3Braidy Wassilyn (F)Markham Majors U16 AAA

Mclean is in barrie no clue where greer is playing
Thanks.

That Barrie team seems to be shaping up to be a juggernaut.

With McLean, Dube and Hawery (unsure where he's playing), they have 3 potential Top 10 picks.

Also took some talent from the 08' Soo Greyhounds team, plus a goalie I believe from U16 Sudbury Wolves.

the U16 Sudbury team won’t be that good this year because i believe they have 2 girl goalies and couple A/AA players

C and F are very deep. I don't know if you can call a division with Elgin and the Marlies weaker. Guelph will also be solid.
Very true but with the loss the Beckham Edwards I just don’t think Elgin will compete the way people think they will. I could be very wrong but just don’t see anyone else coming out of that pool other than the Marlies.

I agree with that but I think it'll still be a very competitive pool. I don't see a weak link but maybe no top end teams

That’s likely a better way of putting it. Will
Be a competitive pool but not full of top teams unlike the others.

U16 Sudbury is almost never good. One exception being the 03' age group (Chase Stillman, McCue etc.) so no surprise there.

In regards to the goalies, one of them is legit. Her brother plays for Sudbury OHL. I wouldn't be surprised to see them draft her with a late pick this year.
