And indeed, "my way" was a textbook "emotional hedge". Either I live to fight another day, or I get to laugh at the Oilers. I mean, the good, deep, truly uplifting belly laugh that brightens the soul and keeps the dread of existence at bay just a little bit longer. So either way, I was gonna win.
