The Las Vegas Desert Dogs just wrapped up their second season playing at Mandalay Bay's Michelob Ultra Arena and will now move to Lee's Family Forum.

Yes, I know it's not an old venue. It's still a drastic downgrade. The Mandalay Bay is a high end event center on the Strip, this barn in Henderson is a far cry from that.

Again, it truly feels like for as much bluster as the NLL puts out publicly about being the 'next major league' they have effectively ignored that as a niche sport, it's subject to the same whims as many other second tier leagues.

I also feel like said second tier leagues are starting to realize that they're being choked out by bigger leagues finally breaking through the Vegas glass ceiling. Why would I bother visiting Vegas for sporting options that are decidedly second tier when major leagues are now available? If I was living in Henderson or whatever, why would I support these teams when you now have multitudes of sporting options available?

(Not even counting college sports)
