Still amazed that Leverkusen managed to remain unbeaten in the league, so many close calls during the season.

You don't see this at every club when celebrating the title, both captain Hradecky and manager Xabi Alonso went up into the stands to the capo platform with the Meisterschale, to make chants etc.
There was another very cool thing that happened, at 19:04 the fans observed a moment of silence to honor those who didn’t live to see the club win it’s first title.

Obviously those who were supporters before club's promotion ti 1.BL for the 79/80 season, never even thought about winning the title.

This message relates closest to those who were around in mid 90's Christoph Daum's teams. From former players I certainly hope Ulf Kirsten was asked to join the celebrations, as he was team's top scorer in seven seasons.

Maybe 3-time scoring leader Berbatov and 4-time leader Kiessling too. At least Rudi Völler was there in a director role.

I for one quite like that they have something resembling an identity, hasn't always been the case and ultimately separates them from the likes of Duisburg or Oberhausen.

Mainz by the way was the only team dirtier than them in terms of bookings, Union dominated in red cards.

Wasn’t talking about the players. Bochum fans are some of the biggest shitheads in the buli right now.

With the emergence of the Ruhrstadt Kollektiv they have internal competition again.

St. Pauli wins the 2. Bundesliga title and Rostock gets relegated directly amid rioting. Wiesbaden heads to the relegation playoff, presumably without their manager who got sent off. Lautern demolishes Braunschweig 5:0 despite being one man down since the 58th minute.

3-way tie for the BuLi2 goal-scoring crown as Tzolis & Glatzel caught Tabakovic's 22.

Tzolis - 22G + 7A, 2365 min
Glatzel - 22G + 7A, 2626 min
Tabakovic - 22G + 5A, 2559 min

18yo Can Uzun ended up tied for 5th with 16 in 1987'
19yo Tom Rothe tied for 5th on the assists list; 4G + 10A in 2670'
18yo Paul Wanner put up 6G + 4A in 1682'
18yo Assan Ouedraogo put up 3G + 2A in 818'
19yo Nicolo Tresoldi put up 7G + 3A in 1966'

Things happened the last few days:

Karl-Heinz Schnellinger passed away, aged 85. The Italians loved him more than the Germans, I guess. Never seen him play other than u-tube.

Toni Kroos announces his retirement after the EURO.
Most successful German player ever.

Union signs Horst Heldt. I hope they know what they are doing.

HSV signs Stefan Kuntz

Own Goal scores, 1:0 for Düsseldorf away against Bochum in the relegation.

...3:0 full time, even Goretzka knows this one is over.

Brutal result for Bochum, and at home. Thought they would do better than that. Getting blown out by Werder Bremen after feeling like they were probably safe must have broken tĥem.

Frimpong messes up a counter attack, he already got past the keeper, maybe he was a bit too wide to be sure of scoring himself. But even so, his no-look pass to nobody was a bad choice.

Leverkusen does the domestic double and undefeated domestic season.

Maybe they can do better at European level next season, but I seriously doubt they can repeat this domestic season.

Bild reports Kompany to Bayern and Flick to Barca. Well...

Bayern only paid 12m for Kompany. What a bargain. LOL.
