None are great - Mountaineers, Yeti, Outlaws are all not terrible. Venom sounds like an EA sports generated team name or an extra douchy energy drink and is horrible.

A lot of these seem similar to Avalanche.

I actually really like Black Diamonds though. Which for those who don’t know, is the highest classification for difficulty on a ski run.

Unless you would consider calling them the …DOUBLE BLACK DIAMONDS



That however is unfortunately reminiscent of the Golden Knights name pattern. Which would be fine if it wasn’t such a recent new name.

itd be neat if they could come up something out of the ordinary like "Crimson Tide". Not a fan of the team/school but its a unique name and not boring like a lot of the suggestions.

Outlaws or Mountaineers. All the "Fury", "Swarm", "Sting" kind of names make us sound like a WNBA team. Yeti is just kind of silly and weird. I just want a normal sounding name and I think Outlaws and Mountaineers are the best we have. Agree it's an overall weak list

I like Utah Yeti because it kind of flows, and i also like that it sorta steps all over that "bigfoot" motif that the Avalanche kind of play with.


None of them seem particularly great to me though. Or particularly funny.


I do like the idea proposed here of using some sort of Elk skull/antlers silhouette or something as a primary logo.

Black Diamonds is the best of those options, I think. I’d have preferred Grizzlies or Bighorns or something more normal like that. I think Yeti will win. Outlaws is the only real competition. I like outlaws better but only marginally so. I know that young kids love the yeti name. So I’m cheering for that one. Might as well make the kids happy.
