9th goal of the playoffs, Admirals level up 1-1 in 3rd

9+5, +10, 26 pim in his last 9 games.. not bad.

and then... his team is now down 1-2... takes a 22 minute penalty and is ejected from the game
that's the other side of his game... penalty was called as abuse of officials..
(admiral fans are calling it BS, a terrible tripping call, what Zach heavily protested)

"Abuse of officials" is pretty much where all his matches penalties come from. Seems to stem from him calling out their BS on the ice. Maybe he just gets too heated or the refs are too thin skinned. 🤷 I respect the passion but at some point he will need to keep it under control

Unfortunately he's not in the position to contest anything at this point, no matter how egregious. That's a brutal time to take a penalty, and at some point no matter how angry you are, you just need to STFU. Bottom line, full stop, no other way to put it. If he is going to be a guy that wants to play 18 minutes a night then he's going to have to stay on the ice and not put his team down a man.

Yeah, currently he is a bit too hot headed to the NHL, he is skilled, who skates really well, scores goals and points and is clutch.
- has 2nd/3rd line NHL potential, but currently he has no business to be in the NHL.

Keep the style of play, improve already good aspects, but drop the aggressiveness/hot headedness aspect down a notch or two

------

2 losses in a row, -5 in them, and got another 10 min misconduct penalty
Milwaukee are 3-zip down in the series..

58 pims

second one has 30 pims, in the AHL playoffs

40 of those for misconduct.

30 for unsportsmanlike
10 for general misconduct

He is actually fairly disciplined with on ice play. It is his mouth and temper that help him pump up those numbers

90 of his regular season PIM was for misconduct and another 35 for fighting.

A little maturity there and his penalty minutes would drop dramatically.

I think the Preds got a gem here

Might never be a first liner but he might become a 2nd line pest that gives you 50 points a year while being a heart and soul player ppl will hate to play against
He is Claude Lemieux 2.0
