I have not posted anything since the game our Jets were eliminated...

I am not here to make any statements re: the Jets, hockey per say, nor argue, not to blame, not to say what should be done or shouldn't be done...

I am here to thank all of HFJets for a fantastic year... We were awesome...

It helped that the Jets got 110 points in the regular season... but it was far from perfect... and the daggers came out at times on this Forum...

But we had so much fun...

I salute all the HFJets participants and lurkers... you are all champions...

This is the best Forum on Hockeysfuture...

Talk to you all later... I leave you all with an inspirational tune...

Any idiot can reach 10,000 posts. I could probably do it myself if I live long enough. All you have to do is shout Go Jets Go about 20 times a day on a thread and you'll be at 10K in no time.

A better measure maybe is likes. Some guys have more posts than likes. Some guys get way more likes than they post. Maybe we need to look at ratio or something. Wolfie gets 1.5 likes for each post but @macmaroon is running about 4 likes per post.

Ah but the key to respect is the Post to Like ratio young Jedi Knight!

I don't think getting likes on HFJets is any more meaningful than on FB. It certainly not a reflection of hockey knowledge.

I've got a ratio of more than 4:1 and everybody dumps on me for being off-topic. The most knowledgeable guys in here run about 2:1 and then there's The Dude who gets about 3:1 because of all the bouncing flesh videos.

Speaking of your off-topic posts, you never told us how your Dalhousie interview went. Moving to Halifax soon?

This is because 'Likes' were only added to HFBoards a few years ago. I wanna say around ~2018 but not 100% sure on that. Many posters who had been around here before that may already have had 5-10k posts before 'Likes' were even introduced so generally posters who joined in the last few years will most likely have a better like-ratio than those who were around in the pre-Like era. But yes for someone like @macmaroon to have a 4x likes to post ratio while being a member since the pre-like era is impressive.

@macmaroon does a lot of work for those likes. Deserves every one of them.

It didn't go that well. They'll let me know by the end of the month if they want me to fly down for an in-person.

Got up at 5 a.m., re-read their emails and then discovered the zoom chat was at 9 a.m. on MY time, not theirs. Had a problem with my halo light, generally didn't sparkle, fabulous vocabulary notwithstanding.

I've got more irons in the fire and I'm still hopeful I'll have some good news before the fam shows up on June 1st.

Why not keep posting during the summer? There's lots happening, the playoffs are still on, lots of coach firings and trades to discuss. Even if you don't like all the off-ice hockey stuff, you can still update us on how your suntan is coming along.

Too many other things to do to keep posting here all summer. I won't disappear, I'll probably check in now and then to see if Sip has mellowed or what video The Dude has put up. But as you can see below, I'll be busy busy busy until we all reconvene in September.
