We could have Prong and Nedemyer on the back end and still not win with not my fault Skinner in net.

When the other team can score 4 a game from anywhere on the ice it doesn’t matter

Not my fault Skinner is the biggest fraud in the league.

You aren’t unlucky to have his playoffs numbers
I just realized his jersey number pretty much equals his playoff save percentage. He and Hopkins should swap numbers.

The sad part is we can’t run it back with this goaltending and D but the changes till be Kulak for Broberg and Pickard for another Pickard. Not the actual changes we need.

It'll never happen but: cap credit next year, negligible cap hit the year following then 4 years of a big hit although the cap should go up over the next few.

I dunno, maybe letting Lindholm walk in uncontested wasn’t the best idea. Desharnais is getting exposed… again.

Skinner had the save but decided to poke check and opened right up. Sorry that one is 10000% on Skinner all day every day and twice on Sundays.

But everyone keeps saying Broberg needs to the minutes. They will move Kulak, give Desharnais his money and bring up Broberg. That’ll be our d moves this summer.

Wrong moves.

This all boils down to the lack of seriousness on the part of management.

Were in such an awful position that I know the names of two goalie coaches.

I have no doubt if skinner was on Vancouver Ian Clark would make him look like hasek.

I have no doubt if silovs was on Edmonton Dustin Schwartz would make him look like koskinen.

picture Nate MacKinnon or Wyatt Johnston getting a chance where the seas part.

Picture draisaitl getting two of those chances and not scoring on either.

I know it’s a difficult concept cause you’re not used to it and you’ve been conditioned to shit goaltending, but a goalie can make a save from time to time. Not every grade A chance is automatically in the net.

If this was true then McDrai would each have 10-20 more goals.

Good for our window, bad for the long term.

Maybe we can just do a Marner/Nurse swap.

Boeser had more time on his first goal to shoot than Drai on either of his breakaways. Plus he smacked the post on one because this team can’t finish when it really counts. This team is 5 really good players and everyone else is garbage. We keep falling for this crap every year when the movie is the exact same.

If this was true then McDrai would each have 10-20 more goals.

You and I both know what would happen if McDavid or Draisatl were alone in the slot.

About half the time the goalie makes a hero save. If you watched the games you would see that.

The f***ing kid gloves Skinner is treated with is hilarious. It's pro sports, team doesn't want to make him available, he should say "f*** that, it's my job to own this". You're paid pretty f***ing well to play a sport and part of the job is talking to the media.

Baby soft handling of this f***ing moustache.

If nothing else, game four will be interesting in that we'll really see what the 2024 Oilers are made of. Backs are against the wall. The Canucks had a ton of good luck (and favorable calls) in game three, and it went their way. If the Oilers put another 40+ shots on net in game four, I have to think they'll tie the series. Anyway, if they don't, the series is over, so again we'll really see what the guys are made of either way.

Skinner is clearly a good goalie overall who (so far) can't get it done in the playoffs. There's some issue with his confidence, I would suggest. He just doesn't look confident, isn't challenging enough, looks beatable. Will also be very interesting to see what the coaches decide for game four.

The other major issue (not for the first time) is the lack of depth scoring. So, let's see: Aside from the big three forwards, here's how the other forwards have done at even strength in three games so far, in points:
1 - RNH
1 - Ryan
0 - Kane
0 - Holloway
0 - Foegele
0 - Henrique
0 - Janmark
0 - Brown
0 - McLeod
0 - Perry

So, yeah, that's not getting it done. Somebody else needs to score, and they need to do it in game four.

The most frustrating thing is that the Oilers appeared -- through most of the Knoblach takeover era -- to have finally solved their ES scoring problem. But late in the regular season, they went back to no scoring at evens. And it's carried over into the playoffs.
