The team relies on aggressively forechecking which expends a lot of energy. When that's gone the entire system goes. Not sure if that's a sustainable way to play in the postseason with so few rest days, but doubt there's any time to adapt that and don't think Tocchet is interested in doing so anyways.

Except only one guy has to forecheck hard, they haven't played their position in the neutral zone after the first 10 minutes.

Both guys hard on forecheck is a mistake in this system but it can look ok for a time. But I think it's a mistake against a team like the Oilers.
