I saw him make multiple passes in that game that show he was a "plus" passer.Eh, small sample size, but that Pitt game, he was superior at passing to no one, that’s for sure.
If anything, it was the receiving player that wasn't ready/capable of handling the pass because the passing on the big club is so piss poor.
Iskhakov has good edge work and is seemingly always moving his feet (which can draw penalties). There is a place in the NHL for tiny players other than being a Martin St. Louis, especially today.
