If you see everything as a function of Bob, sure. The Bob problem has literally zero to do with keeping your blue chip goalie prospect happy. It’s a consequence lingering from an otherwise passed era. Sure, you can say “oh we have x million tied up in net” but that’s just semantics. Bob’s contract is wasteful, no matter which why you spin it.
