Lose lose probably. Bobby Ryan never really had a great year afterwards. Silf was an okay player for a long time but never more than a third line forward. I’m still not over that we wasted that pick on Ritchie. So did we lose the trade?
I wish him the very best going forward. And a heartfelt thanks for everything he did here.

Exactly what I was thinking. Silf was never a first liner, but shutdown 2nd line winger was his peak.Do you not remember that line with kessler, silf, and cogs?
That line deserved way more respect from the league than they got; they were an amazing shut down line!Do you not remember that line with kessler, silf, and cogs?
I don’t think we have one yet…. Maybe they needed more legit candidates for it before they do one.He was a great Duck - he played the game hard and intelligently, and was clearly a leader in the locker room. And I'll agree that the Cogliano - Kesler - Silfverberg line was one of my favorites in Ducks history.
Good luck, Jakob, in your future endeavors!
He falls short of number retirement, but do the Ducks have a team Hall of Fame or a Ring of Honor or something? If they do, does Silfverberg belong there? I say yes.
