So essentially in a past life I was a video editor or at least I thought of myself as one as I minored in it in university. Now that I have a big boy job and have some free time and money on my hands, I'm going to get back into it as a creative outlet.

I'm going to be doing a Sabres tribute / hype / highlight video showcasing 3 parts: the drought, the current core (hope) and then finishing with the history Sabres moments and calls.

My question for everybody here, what are some of your low points from the drought years that you think I should include? Preferably if they can be actual video clip moments but of course I can make anything work if I feel they are important enough.

TL;DR: There's not enough Sabres tribute videos and I'm making one about the last 13 years, want to know people's drought low points to add to the showcase.

Derek Roy flu game. We had Philly down in game 6 and then Leino s ored the OT winner then Roy came back for game 7 and we got boat raced. We then signed Leino to that atrocious deal and he lost his love for hockey.

If you're looking for stuff to clip:

The crowd actively cheering for the opposition during the McEichel Tank.
This year's obliteration at the hands of the CBJs.
Last year's back-to-back obliterations by Boston and Nashville.....with us actively in the playoff hunt.
Leaving Comrie in for ALL TEN GOALS last year.
Fasching's kicked-in goal.
Lucic running over Miller (the play that started it all)
Drafting Grigorenko
Firing Lindy
Trading Miller
Regier's "Suffering" quote
Reveal of those hideous 3rds during the Ott era
Somehow a collage of getting ZERO points in January 2015
News footage of ROR hitting a Timmy Ho's
Firing Byslma and Murray and Housley and Botterill
Video of Mitts unable to do a pull up
Pominville saving his own goal
0-15-3 streak in the COVID season

And this is shit just off the top of my head.

I felt pretty lousy about team leadership when I saw Eichel big-time Allen during a "Captain's Corner" segment right after the Bills had made the playoffs in 2019. He looked like he would rather discuss a root canal than act enthusiastic about Buffalo.

The late Toews goals being celebrated by Sabre fans which basically ensured McEichel. Nothing else comes close to encapsulating the pathetic state of this franchise at the time.

Honourable mention would also go to Tim Murray announcing the Alex Nylander pick. That's more personal to me though.

Will fix everything
For me it was when the Pegulas showed their true colors, laying off staff during the pandemic. Economic and efficient is a far cry from the bravado of ‘there is no salary cap on the front office’. When they opted to take on LTIR salary after the Eichel trade rather than get more veteran help for a young team and the two years of sub cap floor that followed.

Watching O’Reilly and Eichel thrive and be the conn smythe and conn smythe runner up. The idiocy of the skinner contract.

18 game losing streak for me. No question.

Two recent ones that have stuck with me- Dahlin writing a letter begging the fans to come back only for the team to follow it up with a trash home record.

The players all but admitting they took the last offseason lightly after finishing one point out of the playoffs the year before. This one really grinds my gears, and I have a strong dislike for this core at the moment. Let's see if they can change my mind.
