Development Cup

In May in the third Development Cup will be played in Füssen (Germany). This is an official tournament recognized by IIHF for nations which are not eligible to play in the World Championship. Participants this year are:

• North Macedonia (Winner 2018)
• Ireland (2nd in 2017, 3rd in 2018)
• Andora (4th (from 4) in 2017 and 2018)
• Liechtenstein (new)
• Columbia (new)
• Algeria (new)

North Macedonia is replaced by Portugal (2nd in 2018, 3rd in 2017).

Apparently IIHF has reduced the financial support of the tournament.
