Please scratch Stone Hands Hagelin.
Little young for me to remember, but I have fond memories of Quentin Laing absolutely throwing his entire body in front of everythingdoesn't score, doesn't win board battles. but gosh darnit he certainly is in the way a lot.
who was the 4th liner from the early 90's that always sacrificed his body on the PK? Was it Kevin Kaminski?

In sum: provides zero offense and is supposed to be an elite defensive forward but is getting smoked most of the times he’s on the ice, but he’s a pretty good penalty killer. Sounds like the profile of a lot of AHLers that get 7 minutes a night and are asked to just eat pucks on the PK.

Look at Dowds salary. He isn't supposed to be elite anything. He's just doing his best because Backstrom is out and Eller is gone fishing.
Dowd isn't a problem, his usage (partially because of injuries and partially because Lavi is a dinosaur) is the problem.
man that's a name I haven't heard in forever, didn't his jaw get shattered doing that?
I wonder what it’ll take to get Hagelin out of the lineup. He is an offensive black hole and only Dowd, who has a much smaller sample size, has worse underlying stats in terms of high danger chances against, scoring chances created, and expected goals. His usage comes into play and he has one of the lowest OZone start percentages but he gets absolutely cratered on those tough assignments, which is supposed to be his speciality. He has the most PK TOI but again that’s largely driven by a number of PKers being out for varying periods of time and at some point even if he is elite on the PK, his horrible ES performance can’t be ignored.

It’s enough already with Hagelin. He simply cannot be on this roster when the postseason starts. Pay the second rounder it’s going to cost us to get Arizona to take him and be done with it.JMO but the eye test shows that Dowd is a decent player who sometimes helps create chances.
And Hagelin is not doing anything useful except penalty killing. He's been spoon-fed excellent scoring chances and failed every time. His shot has always been weak but now somehow his passes are garbage too.

You do care because you comment on it every time. And the whole “well if you disagree with the coach you must be advocating for firing him” every time is tired.I really dont care but some of you guys are very likely going to be very unhappy with all the investment you are making on this. There were 4 forwards that played more than he did in FL.
