Only need him to start scoring if you hold out hope for him to be a top 6. I think he is what he is. A bottom of the lineup player essentially making the minimum. He has two years to find his scoring touch or I think we will be moving on from this player.
Like the effort from him but need more than a person who plays hard. He needs to start scoring, period.
Sorry, I should have explained further. No expectations for him to be 60-70-80 point guy.Only need him to start scoring if you hold out hope for him to be a top 6. I think he is what he is. A bottom of the lineup player essentially making the minimum.
Going to be extremely smug about the most obvious thing and claim I called this. Nearly the exact same structure as the Hoglander extension last summer.
Even cheaperSimilar to what they did with Hoglander - a 2 year deal keeps him in the fold and I like what I've seen.
I'm guessing $950,000 to $1,050,000 per year.
No issues with this. You need cheap, home grown bottom of the lineup depth. Still has some upside but I don't think we're ever going to see anything more than a bottom 3 or 6 forward.
Seems fair, I think it's unfair to expect him to be Hog 2.0 though, I don't think he has the same level of confidence offensively that Hog has
