Nothing like the Bruins and Canes when they had their backs against the wall. That's why I'm not sure the Avs have another gear.
How? This game was very similar to both games. Boston fought tooth and nail until the very last second to hold off Florida. Carolina needed a huge 3rd period in order to get by NYR.

All three teams earned their Ws.

Maybe...... but I've also noticed he's doubled teamed almost every shift.

His goal came when no one was checking him and even then, I don't think he was at the full speed we have seen from him.

It's clear he's not suffering from a UBI though. lol
Granted, MacKinnon is an offensive juggernaut, and that's what he's paid to do. But if he's double-teamed, at the VERY LEAST start playing physicslly,

If you're double-teamed, then at least use your speed to lay some big hits on guys. Can you imagine how many turnovers #29 could cause if he actually hounded Dallas puck carriers at full tilt. He'd be like a heat seeking missile.

Absolutely lay out Tanev and Heskainen every shift.

Create room for Drouin and Mittelstadt. The real heroes.

Ok. I get what you are saying. But he's just not that kind of player.
