With these joke 1st seed vs WC series, I can't understand how anyone could say with a straight face that the playoffs should be expanded.

Aside from the obvious tight series, the others are a mad joke (for one, only because the WC can't piss a drop and the 1st seed has a mystical level of PDO). More series' with the excitement of watching flies f***? Pass

I think it’s mostly just to help the teams that are obviously better near the end of the season but miss 1-2 game.

Maybe the last wild card should be a play in if the 8/9 teams in a best of 3 but that’s it.

I'm not too sure I like our chances against the Canucks, they had our number if every matchup. We could limit them to 4 shots a game, and they will somehow get 5 goals.

They beat the Oilers 3 times when the Oilers were the worst team in the league before the coaching change (the Oilers lost to the Sharks to put that time period in perspective) and a tight checking close game without McDavid. It'll be a tough series of course, if it happens, but I wouldn't put too much stock into the regular season results.

That is why I now say, they don't deserve to win any other game in this series. They should be toast after that. They should just forfeit the last game.

Prime example is the Jets vs Avs this year. They outscored the Avs something like 17-4 and went 3-0 against them in the regular season and look how that's turned out for them.
