^^ That would make too much sense. From a cursory look it seems they're starting playoffs now as the #4 seed.
Blue Jackets mailbag, part 1: Patrik Laine to center, and plenty of Connor Bedard chatter
If the Blue Jackets don't win the draft lottery and end up with the No. 3 pick, who might they take?theathletic.com
Without even reading the article its obvious - But...This one's a "duh" if you ask me
Found this to be interesting. Might be more than meets the eye, similar to the Olivier deal. This one's a "duh" if you ask me
What is Hunter McKown’s career projection? — Brian L.
I spoke with five or six scouts and coaches in recent days. I’ve not seen him play, so all I can do is call people I trust and wait to see him play a few games with my own eyes. From what they tell me, they think he can be an NHL center. He’s got size and strength and skates well enough. A few have been pretty vague beyond that, but most seem to think he’s a top-nine guy, which probably means that “middle-six” is a fair to optimistic read. He’s really turned himself into a good player after some difficult seasons. Let’s see where that passion and drive can take him now.
Do you know what role, if any, former Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin plays in mentoring the Russian players who come to Columbus? — Michael Z.
Tyutin scouted for the club briefly a couple of seasons ago, but apparently decided pretty quickly that it wasn’t for him. But he has played a big role in welcoming some of the young Russian players to town, especially forward Kirill Marchenko. He’s had players over to his house for dinner with his family, showed them around town, pointed them toward people they can trust, etc. If tried to get him going on this a few times, but Tyutin is extremely humble about it. To him, it’s just something a kind person would do. And he’s right.
Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today that forward Alexandre Texier will rejoin the club for the 2023-24 National Hockey League season after spending the 2022-23 campaign with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland's National League. The team also announced that the second year of Texier's two-year contract, which was signed on July 28, 2021, will toll to cover the 2023-24 season.
"Alexandre Texier is an outstanding, young player who is an important part of our team and we are excited that he will be rejoining the club as expected next season," said Kekalainen. "His well-being has been our sole priority and we couldn't be happier that he is ready to resume what is a very promising NHL career at this time."
Don't worry, he's not good enough for the euro league so now he's just gonna bum it up in Columbus and collect an NHL paycheckoh my goodness how shocking and unexpected amirite
amirite?
...
I TOLD Y'ALL SO
I TOLD YOU HE'D BE BACK
Y'ALL DIDN'T WANT TO BELIEVE ME
He's not going to recognize any faces by the time they are all back togetherIf Tex returns to form he's going to embarrass the rest of our forwards with his elite battle level. They'll look like toy ponies compared to him.
Maybe thats why hes coming backHe's not going to recognize any faces by the time they are all back together
If without sarcasms, points in European leagues are too overrated.Don't worry, he's not good enough for the euro league so now he's just gonna bum it up in Columbus and collect an NHL paycheck
