Checked the standings to see if we can play any sort of spoiler role here.
LA and Vegas hold the final two playoff spots in the west, at 93 and 92 points respectively, both with 5 games remaining. There's also Nashville at 94 points with four left.
St Louis is the only team that can realistically catch any of them but they are at just 87 points with four games left. They need to win out and even then would need a fair amount of help.
Kings remaining games are Ducks, Flames, Ducks, Wild, Blackhawks.
Vegas gets Oilers, Wild, Avs, Hawks, Ducks
Blues have the Hawks, Hurricanes, Kraken and Stars
Safe money would be on the same eight teams keeping their spots in some order, but we definitely have a chance to factor in to a miracle push by the Blues.
The east on the other hand, is still a complete dogfight.
Almost every other fan base has an irrational hate of Zegras; kings ain't special. If we beat kings both time, and blues win out things could get interesting
I’m just hoping zegras pisses off king fans tonight…. They have an irrational hatred of him

25-30% I feel is a bit too much, around 15% I think is more realistic, he's just that good offensively. There's actually a pretty interesting thread on the mains, about if McDavid was playing on one of the current bottom dwelling teams,( OP was kind enough to leave out Anaheim, lol) would his numbers be effected?
Makes you think about Cronin's system, Newell Brown's PP, Ryan Strome missing open nets, and our kids just not there yet. I think McDavid would still put up numbers here but could easily see at least a 25/30% decrease in his current production. Maybe he hits 90-95 points here? While his most common ES line-mates and PP unit sees about a 15-20% bump in production?
The word is “covet”Rangers fans actually like him. lol.
McDavid has 31 goals and 99 assists. That assist total would be in the 25-35 range here.25-30% I feel is a bit too much, around 15% I think is more realistic, he's just that good offensively.

This is why i keep objecting to people saying Mintyukov is a better top pairing choice right now. He’s absolutely not, he just looks fantastic playing on the pairing/with the responsibilities that he should be getting at this point of his career. Still a couple years off from being a legit top pairing guy IMO - which is absolutely fine.Crazy stat I saw on Reddit about our blueliner's +/- ratings and thought I'd share it here. I added extra stats to give us a better picture.

When Zell and Minty started playing top pairing/top-4 minutes is when those high negative ratings occurred. Zell has been tied to Fowler's hip.
Minty breakdown
7 games with Gudas = -6
7 games with LaCombe = 0
1 game with Lindstrom = -2
Lindstrom's TOI disbursement is as low as 10:52 and as high as 20:49. He's being played up and down the lineup. In his last five games, he's played at least 18:20 TOI or more four times. The odd thing is Lindstom doesn't play on the PP or the PK. I wonder if the team should test out if he can play on the PK?
