Celebrini is the obvious pipe dream that would truly take us into contender territory long term, but I do not think we will be close to bad enough for that to become reality.

1C, impact D men, and shooting talent, those are my personal priorities for this team long term.

Just give me a top 10 pick. I really hope we don’t get pick 14 and miss the playoffs. I remember Helenius standing out for Finland. Haven’t really seen any of the dmen yet.

You know we'll get #14 now, right?

It's going to be funny when the Sharks lose 75 games and then lose the lottery.
Avs did basically that one year. It was super funny until they picked Makar at 4…

Another yittle center man in helenius, though he’s probably a couple inches taller than the chosen one

Such a good dman class. Watched a little of a few different guys today and there are quite a few guys that look good. Dickinson is my favorite prospect so far.

A Dman with size and talent? Sign me up. Spurgeon will start to decline in a year or two, Brodin a year or two after that. We have a bunch of D prospects, but I don't think any of them project to be #1D's, and maybe not top pairing D's(Faber aside).

Still, BPA available, for me. RW, LW, D , C....doesn't matter, though C's and D's are always worth more.

If we pick in like 12-18 spot, he'll be gone IMO.

Here are my top dmen in the 1st round. I'm still waiting on Mckeen's rankings to finalize my prelim list but I highlighted the players I think we will be realistically aiming at.

Some of the USA guys may jump as their season just is still pretty fresh. And guys like Mews and Kiviharju are falling.

But we got on offensive type on Parekh, a bigger body but more of a raw talent in Yakemchuk, a lower upside but more well-rounded and playing well at a higher level in Buium.

EDIT: And while alot of dmen options, they all come with some caveats to their game so I think it's generally a weaker class. Lower upside in the top 2, 3-5 is more evenly spread, then a drop off in top pairing/1st line talent after 12.

So I wouldn't be surprised for alot of teams picking safe prospects 20+ to ensure they don't pick busts. So players in some rankings at 45 pick at 25, some projected bottom six players.

Watched some scouting reports, shift-by-shifts, and highlights of Ivan Demidov. He’s the most dynamic 1 on 1 player I can remember watching as a draft eligible. It’s a shame he’s hurt this year.

That might have him drop in the eyes of GM's, and potantially make him available to us(as would him signing an extension in the KHL).

I wonder how high (not if) Ondrej Becher is going to get drafted as an over-ager. He's nearly scored as much in 19 games this year as he had in 63 last year. I'll bet he beats last year's total by the 23 game mark. From the little I've found on him, he has good stick positioning, is decent defensively (getting PK time), and plays a smart game away from the puck, on top of that offensive output. Teams love players who play a complete game and put up offense, and he appears to be just such a player.

From my VERY limited watching of his goals, he seems like he knows how to get behind defenders on a rush, with speed (caused by excellent timing rather than pure footspeed), and has a decent shot in tight to the goalie.

Love Demidov’s game and fit. Am guessing Philly does too - he’d be a lethal running mate for Michkov

That 6’7 LHD Silayov (sp) is also intriguing but I haven’t done nearly enough leg work on him.
