ASG Format and jerseys announced
I"d say there's a very good chance that Savannah will set the all-time ECHL ASG merch sales record. When me 'n' the missus attended a game there a couple of weeks ago, the line to get into their team store was nearly as long as any of the lines outside the arena before the doors opened. And they've had to put the team replica jersey stock in a room separate from the other merchandise for crowd control. They should refer to the team's garrish signature branding color as "Soylent Green" ...

That’s great to hear that Savannah is thriving in merch sales. Norfolk had the game last year and I wish I went.

We’re coming up on the ECHL’s Christmas break, which is something players love, of course, but not all coaches do.

There will be no games Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, yet 12 teams will be back in action Dec. 27.

Most coaches would love to have a little time to practice over the holiday, especially with several teams having to jump back in with four games in five nights, and only a Wednesday morning skate to prepare and get the legs back.

But hey, the ECHL just likes to get into the holiday spirit. And, so do I.

With that in mind, let’s give out some metaphorical gifts to various teams and people throughout the ECHL. ...

Spotted something on Twitter recently where Deacon Sports has sold both T-R and NL. No official announcement yet, but I found a report from October that pretty much confirmed T-R was sold to locals. https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/montr...of-new-ownership-for-the-trois-rivieres-lions

Maine Mariners

Newfoundland Growlers

• Newfoundland is at Trois-Rivières on Wednesday and Friday and Adirondack on Saturday and Sunday.

Norfolk Admirals

• The Admirals are at Fort Wayne on Friday and Wheeling on Saturday and Sunday.

Reading Royals

• Reading hosts Worcester on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Trois-Rivières Lions
Jakov Novak is tied for second among rookies with three game-winning goals.

Worcester Railers

SOUTH DIVISION

Atlanta Gladiators

• The Gladiators travel to South Carolina on Saturday, host Savannah on Friday and Saturday and visit the Ghost Pirates on Sunday.

Florida Everblades
Joe Pendenza has six points (1g-5a) in his last two games.
• The Everblades are tied for second with 2.71 goals-against per game.
• Florida hosts Greenville on Thursday and Friday and visits the Swamp Rabbits on Sunday.

Greenville Swamp Rabbits
Jake Smith has six points (3g-3a) in his last three games.
• Greenville is tied for third with 10 road wins (10-3-0).
• The Swamp Rabbits are at Florida on Thursday and Friday and host Everblades on Sunday.

Jacksonville Icemen

Fort Wayne Komets
Matt Wedman is on a six-game point streak (4g-8a).
• The Komets have scored 26 goals in their last six games (5-1-0).
• Fort Wayne is at Kalamazoo on Wednesday, hosts Norfolk on Friday, travels to Indy on Saturday and hosts Toledo on Sunday.

Indy Fuel
Trevor Zins scored his first pro goal on Friday at Kalamazoo.
• Indy is sixth with 27.71 shots-against per game.
