When I was a kid my family moved from Boston to Cape Breton. At night I could get Bruins games on the radio ( sometimes the reception wasn’t clear ) . Bob Wilson and Johnny Bucyk were all I had except for the occasional Bruins games we got on CBC .

Glad to see Bob Wilson getting some love here.
Where's good ol' Dave Shea (not that he's missed) ?
Funny story, I was working for someone in Arlington (IIRC) and
this older guy "Bob" came by to talk with the new neighbor.

She talked to him for a while in front of her house as I waited patiently at my work vehicle about a hundred feet away, shaking my head thinking how they were wasting my time.
She said "sorry" he's kind of a celebrity around here,
he used to work in radio, his name is Bob."
I was kicking myself for months after because I missed the chance to meet him
and tell him what his game calling meant to me.
