Juulsen needs to stop making hero plays and going for retaliatory hits every time he gets touched. Just do your f***ing job and defend

Big defensive misplays are killing the offensive momentum. With the Miller line having an off night and the Lindholm line getting matched up, it's sad we can't expect anything from the Pettersson line right now.

By splitting up McDrai and Nurse-Ceci, the Oilers look like a deeper team right now, at least with Pickard untested.

Juulsen has played well tonight, but an unfortunate read there.

Got the split, always the goal. Just want to see them carry play in the third and make Pickard make some saves. If he does, so be it. Just don't go quietly into the night.
It’s not an unfortunate read. He’s done this numerous times in big games this season.

He can’t be trusted as a top 6 defencemen in important games.

Splitting up McDavid and Draisaitl works when Miller is having a night off and Pettersson looks like D-Petey out there. We look like shit.

Pickard has looked shaky, just kinda battling to block the puck best he can, rebounds going god knows where, just need to get pucks through. Right now he's just being "good enough".

Felt they deferred on a couple good chances but the deferring also narrowly led to extremely high danger chance.

However, this is at least setting up a situation that would be extremely hilarious should it come to pass.

Can we get Zad to lay out Draisaitl already.
I disagree with the EP bashing

There was a sequence where he was battling with two oilers along the board in the offensive zone and it took like 5 seconds before any of his linemate came to help him out
He has NO ONE to play with. Mikheyev is a 4th liner and Karlsson is a tweener right now, albeit performing well considering the context. Not a threat at all.

Tocchet needs to trust Bleuger to be the 3rd line center and Lafferty as the 4th line center. The team needs to match the fire power right now - bottom 6 utility, defensive depth, and goaltending all favour the Canucks. Oilers are killing the team by stacking their top lines and the threat of their powerplay has the Canucks off their game.

Scoreline is deserved. Nothing around the net or the middle of the ice. Horrific

Realistically we were never going to win both games in Edmonton. I’m glad we won the last one or else this would REALLY suck. But even if we lose I hope we see a dominant Canucks period in the third because it’s been a while. Been all Oilers for the last few.
