Our playoff spirit animal, the 90-91 Minnesota North Stars, finished the regular season 27-39-14, compiling a paltry 68 points. They met the juggernaut Black Hawks (106 points) in Round 1, winning Game 1 in OT, 4-3. In that game, Jeremy Roenick scored for the Hawks 13 seconds into the game, so immediately losing all hope was certainly an option. But future Cap Mark Tinordi would score a minute later and then would assist on the GWG in OT. So don’t get blue if it gets dark early - the Stars beat the 106 point Hawks, the 105 point Blues, the Oilers, and then lost to the Pens in 6 in the Finals
