Olofsson is a winger with terrific speed. Has good offensive instincts, hands, and a hard shot.
Does it matter? You probably won't even see this kid in Rochester. Contracts are limited and unless he is top 6 material he was just a low end pick to end this shallow draft.I love these kids late, some are listed at 6-1 but are really 5-8 and others are listed at 5-7 and are really 6-2. Is this kid really 5-7?

He's fun-sized!!!
Another pick from Modo. Possler last year and Ullmark two years ago. The former Modo goalie and coach is now scout for Buffalo so I guess he had some influence in this pick. And he is not 5´7" I think he is at least one inch taller.
Good to hear that he is probably taller. What is your opinion of him?
sounds good. Who does he compare too?
Really? Those are pretty big shoes to live up too.A cross between Anze Kopitar and Martin St. LOUIS.

Really quick skater , a good shot with a quick release he is some kind of shootout specialist. he played a game with the mens team and did not touch the ice before the shootout. On the downsize is as you probably guess the boardwork but with some more strength I think it will be OK in a couple of years.
He will probably get some time with the mens team this year and some PP time since Modo lacks snipers exept of Possler.
So to conclusion is that he is a boom or bust long term project but why not gamble with the late round picks.
I know that this sounds silly but a Patrick Kane with worse balance and not the same playmaking skills.
If he can put on close to 200 pounds he can become a nasty little bull with "St. Louis" "Kopitar" and "Kane" skill........ Sounds good to me.Kris Baker @SabresProspects 7s
Per @kwsnow who just spoke with Tim Murray - Olofsson is 5'11"...not 5'7" as listed elsewhere.
Thanks for sharing. He's listed as dressing for 11 Modo games, but I never noticed him, so they must not have been the ones I saw or I was just not paying attention.
I love that we have three prospects in one system. For the past year I've had a favorite SHL team, and I'll probably continue rooting for them after our guys are gone.
So, a similar approach to one-on-one moves against defenders and goalies, and to shooting, but lacking the vision and hockey sense when it comes to getting teammates involved?
I don't really pay attention after the 5th round because chances are these kids are 3 to 4 years away from hitting their potential or their bust factors. However people are really hyping this kid up with Kopitar, St. Louis and Kane projections so who knows. You're right, we should just close the thread

A contract that spans the season 2015-16 has also signed striker Victor Olofsson. Victor with MODO Hockey as the parent club has a strong season in the J20 behind and spent the last week the chance to pull on national link. - Feels fantastic to have signed two-year contracts. Before the season, I might not have such thoughts but it's been good and it feels how inspiring any time to have been given this opportunity, says Victor. During the season, Victor made 24 goals in 36 games with J20 - not any other player in league have scored more goals than him. - Victor is a natural scorer with a really sharp shot and explosive skating, says GM Naslund and Forsberg head coach continues: - One can truly say that Victor has lace properties relating to the shot. There are few who can match him in that area and we will be seeing a lot of in the future. A sniper and also an extremely talented penalty spot.
Here's what Victor when he talks about his season:
- Early last fall, it was really good. Then I had a period where it went both up and down. In recent months it has become loose and I think it went up all the time. Overall, one can say that, so far, been a really good season. How do you describe yourself as a player? - shot and skating are my main areas. I am aggressively laid. But I am working hard to improve the defensive game - and I also work hard to improve the physics, become stronger. Victorville is accounted for eleven matches in SHL this season. - It has been very educational to be with said Victor and continues like this about the future: - Looking back I forward to next season so the goal is to try to take a place in the SHL team - a regular place and then take it from there. I will train very hard to succeed.
