I’m seeing a trend.
Everyone knew this would happen. They didn't need him and could be using the 6 mill elsewhere. It was all revenge for the dumb offer sheet.

Kotkaniemi burned his bridges He will never wear a habs jersey againHe's a player I'd want to have around MSL. Him and KK. Think of what people were saying about Caufield earlier this season. Worth the risk.
Apparently he's good at helping to unload the team bus, so that's a positive!

Gonna laugh so hard if KK doesn’t extend with the Canes since their fans and their shill reporter, Sarah the Shiv kept saying how this season’s salary was only a gateway to an affordable long-term deal.

Jeeze, man, Habs fans are never satisfied. He just gave you future considerations to talk about.this deadline can't come soon enough
we need something concrete to talk about
I'd welcome KK back on a team friendly contract

C'mon! If you were a UFA and Vinny called you to sign with the Habs how could you say no?For me history is simply repeating: Gainey thought his name & stature could lure elite players via UFA or trades, MB thought his reputation as the ultimate teammate would lure elite players, and now Gorton / Hughes think they’ve found the secret sauce to lure elite players.
We’ll find out within a couple of years..

Because of the offer sheet signed isn't he obliged to sign at that price even for next season or is that simply if he stays in Carolina?
I would love to be an NHL player and receive that call from him and ask him why he never wanted to play in Montreal when he was rumored lol!!!
That sounds like a mantra taught to him by the psychologist he has been seeing for the past 10 years.“I’m not afraid of that word,” Geoff Molson, the team’s owner, said Monday when discussing the team’s on-ice future.
The guilt is too much for him to bear?Yzerman did everything to get rid of Drouin. Why would he want him back now?

Wow, Runner, this post makes me look like a huge KK fan.Gimme a first round pick instead. KK is a lazy ass, skating-deficient head case. He also has too much leverage given his contractual situation.
