From TYler Kuehl of mlive.com:
Last night (Friday October 27th), some "fans" threw some soft rubber pucks for charity on the ice during the third period.
Nine fans of the crowd of 6,000 were ejected. The refs caled a delay of game penalty on Grand Rapids, which led to an Overtime loss to Cleveland. This happened after the Griffins had made up a two goal deficit with 30 seconds remaining in regulation time. Cleveland scored the game winning goal 46 seconds into OT.
I feel bad about what happened to GR. They might have come away with 2 points, but only received 1 for the game. Grand Rapids Head Coach Dan Watson said "Not overly happy with what happened and took place out there,".
