1- If he stayed he would have had over 1,000 games played over 1,000 pts and been the captain for 12+ years. He definitely wouldThis is all possibly true and logical, but it doesn't change the fact that Tavares isn't talented enough to ever earn those accolades.
The idea that he ruined his NHL legacy by going home is a bit dramatic. He went home to raise a family around his family, he put himself first.
Have had his name on the rafters.
2- I never said he ruined his NHL legacy. I just said it was different. I never was mad about him wanting to go home and be close to family and play for his childhood team. Thats the right of every player and professional athlete to want to live and play wherever they want.
