Says he's been on the ice since mid-July and he can start skating again soon, so at least he's been getting in the reps.
Weird that he suffered an unstable fracture by just colliding with another player.
Given his age, he'll most likely heal nicely and should have minimal post-op complications.
Not sure .. could have not been a clean break and it could be it will just increase the chances of healing quicker and better regardlessMeh.. maybe he landed funny afterwards or went into the boards.

As long as it isn’t wrist.Fracture is good news in terms of healing, and limited impact on his game going forward.
Yeah because we havent had any misfortune as sens fans at all lol. Karma for Melnyk perhaps. Of course this happens.Someone on the Kings board claimed this is karma? Lol
I wonder if he was able to break it on the first try?
Does Brent Wallace have his lefts and rights mixed up?
Stuetzle's injury not as grim as it appears for Senators despite surgery
To some jaded fans in Ottawa, it was the most Senators thing ever.
Six days after the Senators selected uber-talented forward Tim Stuetzle third overall in the NHL draft, he is sitting at home in Mannheim, Germany with a broken hand, awaiting surgery on Thursday.
Yes he does.
Stutzle shoots left. Hence his shooting hand is his left hand.
Tells me everything I need to know about Brent Wallace and whether he likely played hockey or not.
It appears NOT!
You appear to be the one mistaken. Your top hand on the stick is the dominant hand or shooting hand. Most people write with their right hand. That's why there's more left handed shots than right handed shots.
