I had the same/worse injury than Brassard did.
I broke my Glenoid, tore my Labrum, tore my rotator cuff, dislocated my shoulder.
When I met with the specialist he told me that if I was young and athletic they would perform surgery to speed up recovery and to help reduce further chances of repeated injury, but since I am not (he practically called me old and lazy, kinda true) that I could just wear a sling for 3 months and then rehab it for a further three.
At the end of the first three months my rehab consisted of ultrasonic treatment to reduce scare tissue and slowly moving my shoulder in a hot shower. Then I progressed to using a rubber band thing.
A month into rehab I was 95% and I was just following paper instructions. He will have personal trainers and rehab specialists working with him daily.
I am sure that he will be back before puck drop.
