A 19-year ATDer on HfBoards
The Bulldogs select 10-year NHL veteran, 2-time 2nd team NHL all star Jonathan Huberdeaux, who has a better 7-year peak relative to his peers (vs.x) than Mogilny or Cournoyer.
Not all non-NHL, specifically European non-NHL. And although he's a great player, the project didn't rank players the same way we do here (there was a contingent of voters with no ATD experience, who treated competitions in 1930 the same as in 1960 or 1980, without considering valuing players against a "best players in the world" benchmark)The Bulldogs select IIHF-inducted Soviet great Nikolai Sologubov, named the Best Defenseman in the World three times, captaining the Soviet national team for years, winning Olympic gold and world championship golds. In the HOH project on the Hfboards History board: He is ranked the 26th greatest born-NHL player (6th best non-NHL defenseman, ahead of Ragulin and Svedberg).
Jeff Skinner RW
Thanks for singleling me out again in this draft.Uh? I can understand Kessel
But Skinner seems like a terrible pick, 1 top 10 in goals, career high of 63 points, hasn't even played a playoff game
Ps mathews is better then draistl .Auston has more goals in his career better career goals per game. Draistl has played 151 extra games and Mathews has more goals already. Everyone knows that mathews is better!
He has good skills slates unbelievably fast and has a great shot. He is a 5 time 30 goal scorer who will come close to scoring 500 goals in his career when it's all over. He just spent his career on bad teams. It's a team sport after all.
Was 2 replies really needed?Have you once considered that maybe Skinner isn't particularly good at an MLD level?
There are tons of undrafteds with better resumes
At his current career average of 0.35 goals/game he'd need to play ~1428 total games to hit 500 goals. So roughly another 500 games or 6 full seasons.
