The Bulldogs select IIHF-inducted Soviet great Nikolai Sologubov, named the Best Defenseman in the World three times, captaining the Soviet national team for years, winning Olympic gold and world championship golds. In the HOH project on the Hfboards History board: He is ranked the 26th greatest non-NHL European player (6th best non-NHL Euro defenseman, ahead of Ragulin and Svedberg).

Not all non-NHL, specifically European non-NHL. And although he's a great player, the project didn't rank players the same way we do here (there was a contingent of voters with no ATD experience, who treated competitions in 1930 the same as in 1960 or 1980, without considering valuing players against a "best players in the world" benchmark)

The Bulldogs re-unite Jim Neilson with his longtime pairing mate Rod Seiling, the duo credited as effective together, helping turn the franchise around after decades of non-competitiveness. Seiling tied the team lead in blueline shots on their Stanley Cup Finals run and is ranked 41st in 100 Ranger Greats.

The latest Bulldog is Rocket Richard winning 1st-team all-star right winger David Pastrnak, who has 504 points in 510 games played and an impressive 74 playoff points in 70 playoff games, twice leading the Bruins in postseason points and tying the team lead in playoff goals in a Stanley Cup Finals run.

Quick question... I remember one year for the MLD, we had to choose players from different eras... Is this still the case for this draft? I haven't seen this rule mentioned this year, and I just thought about it. So, is it too late for me to meet the minimum requirement?

The Bulldogs select HHOF right winger Jack Darragh, the 4-time Stanley Cup champion hard-working, renowned fitness fanatic who scored clutch goals through his relentless style of play.

The Bulldogs select as its backup the two-time Vezina winning Conn Smythe goaltender Tim Thomas, known to push back and keep his crease clear, handling physical scrappy opponents, so a guy to put into a chippy, dirty game.

Uh? I can understand Kessel

But Skinner seems like a terrible pick, 1 top 10 in goals, career high of 63 points, hasn't even played a playoff game
Thanks for singleling me out again in this draft.
He has good skills slates unbelievably fast and has a great shot. He is a 5 time 30 goal scorer who will come close to scoring 500 goals in his career when it's all over. He just spent his career on bad teams. It's a team sport after all.

Ps mathews is better then draistl .Auston has more goals in his career better career goals per game. Draistl has played 151 extra games and Mathews has more goals already. Everyone knows that mathews is better!

Sorry how many 100 point seasons does Matthews have? How many Art Ross Trophies does Matthews have?

How many first round exits does Matthews have?

Matthews is a better goal scorer sure which is apparently all the matters to you

Have you once considered that maybe Skinner isn't particularly good at an MLD level?

There are tons of undrafteds with better resumes

At his current career average of 0.35 goals/game he'd need to play ~1428 total games to hit 500 goals. So roughly another 500 games or 6 full seasons.
