Yeah he needs to play and world juniors is a high level tournament. Hope he does great

When you listen to those 2 players talk, one is not like the other. Lysell also wasn't captain material for that junior team (Matty is, letter at minimum).

Matty P is literally the perfect person to send on this journey. I actually think he's a special hockey player on the ice (and 100+ of them are that good). But the stuff between his ears is HOF material. It's like Bergy or Sakic level for that age. So you do everything you can to put that guy in a leadership spot best on best any time you can. Because in the NHL he's a small fish. Over there he gets to be a whale. What happens from there on is anyone's guess. But he can come back on his way to being a man, and a future captain of this team.
