He definitely left his feet, and it seemed like he got Smid in the head. If Bortuzzo got suspended for 2 games for a borderline interference minor, I'm expecting Despres to get a 2 or 3 game vacation.

Can the refs? They know way better than the keyboard warriors and they had no problem with the hit. Maybe you shouldn't either.

It doesn't matter if about positioning. Both were stopping, which resulted in Smid being lower than normal but Depres went for the hit. The point of contact was to the head.
