Rest in peace Dale. How incredibly sad. I saw him score the best goal I ever saw against the Flyers. He flipped it over the net from behind the net, got the puck and put it in. I never saw anyone do that.

Bummer news. I remember his pre-Sabres years with the Jets. He was one of the "good guys" to wear the Sabres sweater. Also, a trivia answer to #1 overall draft choices who have skated for Buffalo (Turgeon, Hawerchuk, Perreault, Dahlin).

I remember that Flyers goal @Smile Ivan mentioned.

Barely interesting oddity that I always think of with Dale - his 1,000th NHL point was a goal he scored on Hasek when he was on Chicago.

Saw this earlier and messaged two work colleagues who are big hockey fans as well.
