D Tomáš Mikel - Zlin U20 (2025 Draft)

Today in the junior league of the Czech Republic (03-04 yob) the team Plzeň played against Zlín. In the Plzeň team, as always, Benák and Titlbach were in the lead roles. The tall defenseman Mikel was noticeable in the Zlin team (he even scored 2 points in this match, while Benák only got one!). I think that Tomáš will play the rest of the season in the under-20 league and, hopefully, next year he will try out for games at the highest level.

News of the last five minutes!
Just now, in a friendly match with the Swiss, thanks to the assist of Mikel, the Czechs equalized in the last minute (Pavlik). A couple of minutes later in overtime, Mikel shows the wonders of working with the puck, beats three players from the opposing team and scores the decisive puck.

Mikel and Mikes are two players with a one-letter difference in last name, who are right after Benak in the hierarchy of the Czech guys from ’07. Mikel continues to knock opponents to the ice in U20 games. He also recently became joined with the senior team (it’s a pity that senior Zlin is not playing in the Extraliga but in the “Chance” league).
There is a chance that in view of the fact that not all the best defenders of the Czech Republic in 2006, who played in the Hlinka tournament, will be able to get to the U18 championship (the teams of some players will end up in the distant playoff stage (CHL leagues), the coaches will call Mikel to the championship.
