The Capitals then rebounded to defeat Carolina 7-6 in a shootout on Friday, they downed the Winnipeg Jets 3-0 on Sunday, and they finished with a flourish on Tuesday, dispatching Detroit 4-3 on Dylan Strome’s overtime goal, his second goal of the game.
