I just watched that episode. Such a good match, though I think the end of the I Quit match should have been more of a twist.
Copeland has Luchasaurus, Nick Wayne and Christian handcuffed to turnbuckles. Cope should have hit Christian. Christian doesn’t quit. Then Cope hits Luchasaurus, Christian doesn’t quit. When Cope getting ready to brain Nick Wayne THAT is when Christian quits.
That's exactly what I was expecting, but then I thought more about it and realized it would have been the opposite of what Christian's character is. If anything, Wayne and Luchasaurus should have been wrecked with a chair FIRST, while Christian looks on in fear...but he still shouldn't really care. If that makes sense. Christian has touted the whole father figure thing for a while, but ultimately he's always been about himself.
Christian allowing Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus to be beaten down first, and then quitting as soon as the chair/bat gets turn to himself would have been perfect for the character. Copeland goes over and moves on. Christian stays the selfish heel. Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus come out with the wheels turning in their heads to betray Christian in the near future for allowing them to be knocked out again.
EDIT: And if you wanna push Nick Wayne as an up and coming babyface, that program with Christian certainly helps.
