There’s no doubt he’s a risk, but I would say the odds are strong he’s going to be better than anyone we draft at 11 or Bordeleau.Define your idea of “dirt cheap”. Nothing being proposed in this thread right now sounds like “dirt cheap” considering the high lack of certainty in him becoming that 60+ point player.
My method of attack would be an offersheet. The rangers are clearly low on him and probably wouldn’t pay him much, so we could give him a short term like 4.2 mil contract that they probably wont match and either pays off or he’s gone in a few years at the price of a second round pick.
