Canceled - The Great Shark Infestation Bus Trip II - 3/14 Sharks vs Ducks

Sorry everyone... Due to a serious lack of time on my part, the 3/14 trip is canceled. We'll do another one next season!

Also, a lot of people will probably have family over for the new year.

It does but the timing with new years is too perfect.

12/12 and 12/31 in PHX are the only Saturday away games (within a reasonable distance) for the rest of the season!

There's a March game in Anaheim, but it's a Sunday, which might be difficult for a lot of people.

The combination of it being during the holidays and a Thursday game would probably be tough for most.

I'd start prepping for the 03/14/2010 Sunday game against the Ducks. I think if you start prepping for that game almost 3 months before you might get two (or more) bus loads of people.

Even with a Sunday game being kind of tough for most I think the early notice that it will happen leaves people with more than enough time to adjust their schedules.

I think there are 2 away games against the kings in January. If I can find the funding, and get a friend or two to go along I'd want to go.

edit: nvm they're on weekdays :/ but I'd still go.

Still recovering from the partying on the bus?

At least you got half of them right.

How convenient of you to pick a time where I am off school. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it, as I am heading off to Paris to start my pre-study abroad vacation.

This is the best day we've got until Anaheim again in March, and the only one happening on any semblance of an off day until then (I'm scratching the PHX 12/12 game cause that's way too soon).

I kinda hope this can get some momentum but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't, NBSF.

I'll keep up on the thread as it happens.

Im just going to throw this out there

1. Phoenix Sharks games are half Sharks fans anyway

2. You can literally fly into Phoenix for about 60-80 bucks, sometimes cheaper

3. Its a holiday!

Right now plane tickets are running in the $200+ range. Plus you need a rental car, and a hotel. The first flight I saw to the Bay Area, after the game, was the next day. So two people on a flight ($400), sharing a room ($100) and car($35), game parking($15), airport parking($15)) would cost $565 at the bare minimum, just for the transportation!

NBSF, I spaced - I have tentative family plans for New Year's, so I'm probably out.

Sorry, I won't be able to make this one. I really want to get in on a bus trip experience though! Maybe next season. I think if you give everyone a 3 month heads up for the Sunday March 14th game, we will be able to get a bus full of people if not maybe even 2 buses full of people *Ps from my experience watching the Sharks vs Ducks this is usually the clincher for Pac Div. I definitely want to go on another trip, but 12-31 doesn't work for me.

obviously i want to attend anything I can, but the holiday thing doesn't work for me. I could do March 14th but it'd require taking a day off work which I'm not too excited about.

And man, my brain is telling me "GO ON ANY NEXT TRIP!" but my voice box right now is like "ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME?"

Getting a day off in March is much more feasible for me. Not sure if I could handle a 12 hour bus ride. 7 is enough hahaha.

Buuuuut... If it ends up happening I will probably give in!

You gotta come back ... might be the last chance this year haha It doesnt look like the Ducks will make the playoffs to face the Sharks this year The Kings could still be a possibility if they start losing a few games down the stretch.

I wouldn't mind riding a bus all the way to Phoenix especially if we could pick up some SoCal fans along the way, but the timing is bad for me on this one.
