Arena nicknames?

Any link to a list of nicknames of NHL arenas? If not, can you list some that I miss.

Pepsi Center (Colorado Avalanche): The Can
General Motors Place (Vancouver Canucks): The Garage

And correct if even those were wrong

The Saddledome was called "The Library."

It's true.

The ACC should be called The Office.

GM Place == The Garage for obvious reasons. At least until 2015.

Buffalo's HSBC was originally nicknamed 'The Bank', but that has been done by many arenas named after banks.

One of the popular nicknames for HSBC is Hot Sauce, Blue Cheese (The traditional way to serve wings).

Doesn't roll off the tongue, but it does get the mouth watering and is original

I'd say it would make more sense to call Staples Center that.

Thrashers media staff tried to get us used to calling Philips Arena "Blueland," but "The Bulb" seems to be what has stuck.

The Scottrade Center is St. Louis is called "The Scott," but the name of our arena changes names about every 5 years, so it won't stay that way for long.

I always thought HSBC stood for a popular phrase opposing players would say as they stepped off the airplane. That saying...

Holy
S***
Buffalos
Cold

That works too, its just that about 90% of people in the lower bowl at the ACC look like they belong in an office, and most have probably just come from one.

The Mellon Arena was named the Civic Arena previously. The Igloo has always been its nickname.
