Anyone else going to be in attendance for the game?

Looking forward to it! Though I could only pony up enough $ for balcony.

I'll miss the first part of this game because of my kickball league.

Yes... kickball. Sponsored by Grand Central in Adams Morgan. Gotta love it.

If Sloan is a scratch why was he not put on waivers instead of Bourque and sent to the minors? Then they would not have to bring up Kane? This does not make sense. Sorry if this was answered in another thread.

It doesn't make sense.

It boils down to the Caps having some kind of blindspot for below-average defensemen.

God forbid they lose Sloan, Pothier, Schultz or Morrisonn.

While Sloan could very easily be a healthy scratch for the opener, isn't this just Bottle's guess at this time? It doesn't match the combos from today's practice from what I recall. I haven't been online to read any beat writer or Vogel updates this afternoon/tonight though.

Yeah, if I recall correctly it was a Schultz-Sloan pairing at practice today. Green-Mo, Poti-Juice, and Pots-Erskine.

Whats the over under on how many block shots Laing will have this year? And how long until he gets injured lol. I hope he is smart enough to use an old school heavy duty 550 gauge twig on the PK and the most oversized pads possible. Full cage.

I dont like that 3rd LSC line. Thats gonna be ugly unless Clarks flying around. I'd rather see a checking line of Kane Steckel Bradley. Laing Gordo Clark on 4. Let Clark earn his way back over Bradley who earned a promo last spring.

Might have something to do with it being on HNIC?

(Corrected the start time.)

Laing and Steckel are tug boats. I am not sure how either of them keep up with Clark. Back to Bourque, he was fast enough to skate with Clark. Now what?

Clark is the only guy in the bottom 6 with any finish at all.
