Can we all just take a moment to remember that to resign is to quit, and re-sign is to sign again... you know, just putting it out there heading into our offseason.

Conquest Vacations is done.

http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...98#post8593298

Quote:
Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Conquest Vacations Inc. announced today the cessation of its tour operations effective immediately.

Customers who are booked and paid using cash/check through a travel agency are requested to contact their respective agency who will assist you with respect to a refund or claim.

Customers who have booked directly with Conquest Vacations will be contacted or should they wish to contact Conquest, please email to directcustomers@conquestvacations.com with a booking reference number.

Customers who have booked and paid for their future travel using a credit card, should contact their credit card issuing institution for a refund.

Conquest Vacations regrets the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to cessation of its operations. Unfortunately this has been a result of overcapacity and price war among the major tour operators, unrealistic and unreasonable demands by the credit card processing companies, credit squeeze and economic turmoil in recent months making it impossible for companies like Conquest to continue in business even after weathering many storms over the past 37 years.

Just took the pipeline online survey... it gives me a sick feeling when they ask you how much money you spent on tickets and merchandise. I did quick additions and now understand why I owe money on my line of credit.

Just got back from The Killers in Victoria - they're playing Rexall in a couple of days (and GM Place and the Saddledome). Great, great show! A truly outstanding live band! You'll have a good time if you have tix.

GM, Kahlua, Irish Cream to name a few, or you could also add flavored Liqueurs like a Banana or chocolate raspberry liqueur. Anything that you would add to coffee you could add to an ice Cap.

As far as the Shark Club goes, I would love to hear peoples thoughts, I want to know what the semi private sports rooms are like.

Yeah, depends what you're looking for. There's alot of Ambercrombie type guys there and it does have a more "club" atmosphere for a sports bar. That being said I've only gone once, and that's why I haven't returned. It is slightly better than Shanks.

If you're just looking for somewhere to watch sports, I recommend the Canadian Brewhouse. The Schooners are awesome.

I'm looking for a place to go and have some drinks and food as a wind down for a bachelor party. It looks intriguing from the outside at least.

I saw Craig MacTavish in Calgary today. Perhaps he's here scouting for the Flames head coaching job that will become available tomorrow.

For bachelor party material it should be good, the chicks there are pretty hot.

Well despite what it's for I would actually prefer it to be more of a sports bar, so we'll see. But thanks for the first hand info.
