I was watching Coach's Corner tonight and Don Cherry called him Buttercup. Had me crack up. In a way Cherry is right. The guy acts like a tough guy, goes out and hits but fights with a visor on.

You really had to throw in that last comment didn't you? Like that changes everything.
It just got 5 and a game for boarding. We'd all love him as an Oiler, anyone who sais no should roll around in snow because their pants are probably on fire.

I wouldn't want him on the team, but then I've never been about having the ends justify the means. There were probably a bunch in here that would've wanted Sean Avery on the team, too. People who play like Matt Cooke and Ryan Hollweg should be out of the league, not the kind of player you secretly want on your team.

I wouldn't go that far.
There's about 500 NHL players I'd want on my team before him.

TheSpecialist - MacT thinks he was that good of a hockey player when in actuality he was no better then a Louie Debrusk.

I said on the GDT last night I would love to have Clutterbuck on the Oilers.
The name alone the best in the NHL. Pure comedy gold.
Buttercup is a coward for purposely leaving the visor on to fight, then quickly removing it before standing up to head to the penalty box is in every way a cowards act..
I've never really liked Don Cherry all that much, but that was probably the funniest thing Ive ever heard him say.
On a side note, does anyone know what he does with all those suits of his? He wears a different one every saturday. I cant really see anyone else wearing one.

The suit he wore today is the same one he had made for one of the Oiler home games (I think it was Game 3) of the '06 Finals. The pattern is based off the 3rd jersey (ie. spawn) logo.
