Okay, there is supposed to be a pretty big storm tomorrow, so I will wait until the weather is tolerable before leaving the comforts of my warm home towards downtown.
That "rule" seems to be the most inconsistent call within the National Hockey League. Hooking, which was questionable, right after the lockout in the "new NHL" is, by and large, fairly consistent NOW. When it comes to "kicking motion" calls it's a coin toss.
They really need to review that in the offseason and supply more definition and clarity around it.
It seems to me that we get screwed more often than not on these "kicking motion" goals. BS. I blame Bettman and the wh*re room.
the whole game was embarrassing for the NHL. horrible calls and non-calls against both teams
It was a great game, very entertaining. And I'm happy with the one point we got. And it was a tough job for the refs, they did the best they could.
Optimus, are you a bad loser? This thread is kinda silly in my opinion, the decision in Toronto was correct. Or maybe this is just some sort of a Opti-joke
Someone in the organization has to have the balls to go on record and say something about this. Hitch hinted at it in the interview, but someone needs to flat out say it - we get screwed by Toronto and it has to stop.
Someone. Hitch, Howson, JPM, Nash...someone. It might not change much, but it will get attention. Who gives a **** if you get fined, you make millions on millions a year.

ive watched us get screwed over for too long to just let this slide.
it was very entertaining but there is no freaking way that the refs did "the best they could"
i mean just look back at the ones refs reaction when he called it a goal. what a joke of a ref. terirble calls on both sides. im not gonna be okay with this one for quite a while
What makes me mad is that we lose so many good players in fights, players who can't fight and should never drop the gloves. This wouldn't be a problem if we had a true fighter out there, other teams would respect us...now they don't. And you keep telling me that enforcers mean nothing...kiss my..

I would like to point out again, that you are wrong.
I would like to see you kick a puck while flying through the air while being pushed from behind with your head and shoulders extended beyond your feet. I doubt he could even see the puck never mind kick it.

Yes. End of story.
Brassard did not need to drop his gloves there. An enforcer did not need to drop his gloves there.
We will earn the respect of other teams when we have more points than them in the standings and more goals than them on the board.
You are almost as wrong on your second point as your first.
are you sure you watched the same game everyone else did? youre taking this a little too well
Very disappointing of course, but rules are rules. You can see the puck moving away from the net, then Malhotra's skate makes it change direction. I'm man enough to say the decision is correct.
This is the Jackets board, but I really don't like the massive homerism in here
As soon as I saw Brass drop the gloves I though "uh-oh..." Just like Rusty a few years back when he broke his hand in a senseless fight.
I respect what Brass was trying to accomplish. I really do, but for this team - a team that has never even sniffed the playoffs - we've got to be smarter and not let our skilled players go down like this.
I just hope none of them attend snowblowing camp at Joe Sakic's place during winter break...

Our captain was hammered into the boards, did you like to watch that? Would you like it if we just stood there like a bunch of sissys? We had no tough guy on the ice to take care of it, Brassard felt he had to do something...and next he's on IR for 4 weeks.
But enough is enough, we're all mad now. Howson will do something about it soon, I'm damn sure about that.
