I thought it was already decided that Montreal probably doesn't need another scoring winger, and the top need would be a top-4 D? So you propose trading Markov for Gaborik? (And that doesn't even approach the issue of Markov's contract status vs. Gaborik).

Habs don't touch this offer with a ...

Arguably one of the worst proposals i've ever seen on here! How do you come up with a 3 way deal where all three teams are unhappy with the return?

Huge No from LA

You expect the Kings to give up: Erik Ersberg, Tom Preissing, a 2nd, Hickey, and Matt Moulson for Jaroslav Halak and Andrei Markov?

Are you ****ing kidding me?

I have a better idea...

Montreal get Markov, Higgins, Montreal 1st

Minnesota get Marian Gaborik

LA get Erik Ersberg, Tom Preissing, Thomas Hickey, Matt Moulson and LA 2nd

Sounds more fair to every team !

So L.A. gives up Ersberg, Preissing, Hickey, Moulson, and a 2nd to get Markov and Halak? Wow...how about you not post aother proposal again!

But nice touch with the pics.

Markov is making a case for the Norris very early in this new season and he is arguably very underpaid by the new dman standards. No way in hell he gets traded, especially not for what you have listed there.

So Kings give up:Thomas Hickey, Matt Moulson, Erik Ersberg, Tom Preissing, and a
2nd round pick

For: Jaroslav Halak and Andrei Markov

Why not add in Kopitar and Brown to make it fair.

No thanks from Kings

Andrei Markov is a top 5 D signed long term and cheap. If anything, yes, the kings should add Kopitar.

*SIGH*

Do people thinnk before posting? Seriouslly?

Can people STOP including the Kings in all lame trade proposals?

LA WILL NOT GIVE UP ANY of the their core members. We are in full rebuild mode and the only thing I can see us ever giving up in a trade this year are the following:

Calder
Armstrong
maybe a 2nd in 2009 depending on the return
Boyle
Mid level prospects
Future considerations

Kings are not going to give up any core members on the team now let alone Hickey, Teubert, etc.

We also have Bernier and Quick whom will make the nhl soon and Bernier is our future goaltender so we don't need another. If we did we would have picked up Bulin off waivers for nothing.

Montreal with Markov = top 5 team in the league.
Montreal without Markov = probably not a playoff team

I think it's a consensus for Montreal fans that Markov is by far our most important player. He is signed for cheap. You're going to overpay by alot to move Markov out of Montreal.

And you think he is a worth a 21 year old budding superstar, who just signed a 7 year extension, plus Thomas Hickey, Matt Moulson, Erik Ersberg, Tom Preissing, and a 2nd round pick?

Again...share whatever you are on

No, I don't think he's worth Kopitar, he's worth more. If Montreal trades Markov for Kopitar one for one, Montreal would struggle to make the playoffs. Markov is more valuable to a team then Kopitar. Defense Superstars > Forward Superstars (and Kopitar is still only futur supertar).

Maybe not all that but I firmly believe that Markov, who is already a superstar, with his great contract is worth a hell of a lot especially to the Habs which is why he would not even be moved. So the point is mute.

He obviously doesn't think that.

Sigh....I'm too late aren't I? The thread is already derailed.

This thread derailed before it left the station. It shouldn't have been given clearance. I blame terrorism.
