General manager Lou Lamoriello just said that he has given Fedor Fedorov's agent permission to talk to other teams that might be interested in trading for him and the 25-year-old forward will not be play for the Devils. I'll have more on this later, but Lamoriello insisted that it was purely a numbers decision and he had promised Fedorov that if he wasn't one of the team's top 12 forwards, he could seek a deal elsewhere.
If Fedorov can't find a trade, he will probably be placed on waivers.
Also, Nicklas Bergfors, Matt Corrente, Tyler Eckford, Vladimir Zharkov and Scott Clemmensen are now practicing in Lowell, but have not been officially assigned there.
I'll have more on who is still here and who's playing tonight after I'm done in the locker room.
Lamoriello said Barry Tallackson, who had surgery Friday to correct an irregular heartbeat, will be returning to New Jersey "this weekend" and "the doctors have given him the green light to skate and do whatever he needs to do."

I'm very happy for Vrana and hope the kid helps the team. Cograts to Salmela as well. I will pray that he can help our defense. As for Fedor, we all saw the writing on the wall, no bigge.
And I have a feeling that Vrana will get a shot with Pando and Madden.
Knew it was coming... He just didn't hustle like Sutter wanted him to. I believe its down to Vrana and Pelley. Bergfors and Salmela is prob bound for Lowell.

Well according to that article, Bergfors is already in Lowell practicing, but hasn't been assigned there....yet!

It was pretty obvious based on Sutter's comments, but it's still a wasted opportunity. I'd be shocked if they can "trade" him, so he'll likely go on waivers. Too bad he wouldnt accept going to Lowell.

I think the Caps pick him up on waivers. They have a knack for taking our under performing, soft Russian forwards and making them somewhat effective.
I only saw a tiny bit of him against the Rangers and he was alright but he clearly didn't do anything that would bump one of the current roster players out of a spot.
