He was never close to being an NHL fighter. You have to be able to skate to play in the NHL.

Sgroi-d will be playing in Johnstown. He'll never see the AHL again.

I dunno 47 points in 53 games in the Echl last season isn't bad, aswell as 257 penalty minuets by my reckoning that is pretty good.

having been there a couple of years ago when Sgroi decided to beat up Garret Stronshein in the penalty box, I'd say his skating isn't the only thing that's keeping him from advancing.

Sgroi is a crazy mofo but he has worked on his skating. You don't get 47 pts in 53 games if you can't skate. He was decent at skating when he was with Pensacola.

Mike has re-signed in Johnstown (ECHL) but will be out 6-8 weeks with a broken hand. Imagine that!
