Olivier Legault and Mike D'Orazio invited to Kings rookie camp...

http://www.fortwayne.com/apps/pbcs.d...TS01/807290302

He's massive. And most of his videos on youtube are of him knocking people out.

EDIT D'Orazio has been around before hasn't he?

That guy he knocked out was 5'10" 170lbs according to hockeydb.com. He grossly outsized him at 6'5" 238lbs. I will reserve judgement after viewing a few more videos.

A #4 pick of Florida in 2005...?

Playing for a spot in Ontario I would think.

That's what I thought of him as well. He's the replacement for Ryan Flinn.

Bring up Legault!

Kings org seems to love former Panther prospects....Roussin, Bagnall and now Legault.

Well... Guess like the ECHL needs enforcers as well....

I just hope he doesn't injure someone I care about.

A double TKO. Awesome. I've been reading about this kid on the fight boards.

Our ECHL team does need a tough guy especially if Ivanans get traded or Westgarth gets promoted to the show or hurt in the AHL.

Is he one of those visor-wearing Frenchies I heard Avery talking about? He's probably a crappy hockey player, but he looks like a better fighter than Ivanans.

Reaper, you corrected the original poster for this being in the PAST - I even thought I was having a mind meld and pulled my "who the hell is Olivier Legault" thread from LGK only to find hat... gulp... Reaper was.... wrong???

You owe us both an apology - we hold you in high praise around here... right below Jesus

Everyone needs knuckles and I know Veeker would have no problem going toe to toe with Legault. But since when does a guy with hands like Stamkos, a shot like Bogosian and the skating ability of Doughty get into fisticuffs? This guy should be invited and would easily make the Monarchs on D. Attitude check? Politics anyone? Coaching?

I know I'm hungover but that makes no sense to me. What about this guy Vanderveeken? Do you know him or something?

Yes, I know him. It is a well known fact that as a junior, he oozed talent. Junior scouting reports will confirm my earlier statements. I think today he is carrying some of the baggage other narrow minded hockey people have placed on him. And others repeat. How many junior clubs did he play for? But people do change and teenagers do eventually mature.

I never thought he would leave SWO for various reasons - consider he was just a teenager with no real family guidance back then, let alone his friends were his family. I also know the coach(s) that converted him into a defenseman. Its not an issue of talent w/ Jamie.

Any NHL club that spends a little time figuring him out may just find a "real" diamond in the rough. You might notice the expansion Rush wasted no time (over a month ago) signing Veeker and they have not signed another D man yet.

But yeah, that summer I was on the ice with Williams, Cambell, McCormick, Malinowski and Vanderveeken. I would like to think he took my advice and is making his own moves now, but in the end it is up to him. Hopefully a break will come his way.

Cheers
