Pascal Pelletier

Where does he fit in the organisation?

25 years old
top 10 AHL scoring last year
never really got a chance at the NHL level (only 6 games I think)

There is a lot of young forwards in the NHL for the Bruins or near the NHL that are 23 or younger.

Pelletier is RFA probably waiting for a last fair chance to establish himself in the NHL, what the Bruins are going to do with him?

Personally, I don't think he has much of a shot with this Organization.

He has the potential to be NHL calibre, but has yet to show it in the big show. I think if given a fair shot, he could do well - but as you said, we have a lot of depth regarding prospects, and it may be more beneficial for Boston to sign him and deal him.

I agree. I think moving him to the NYI Atl TB or some where he has a legit shot of making a NHL roster is the right thing to do. Even if only getting a 7th rounder or something it'll make the B's look good as a organization and give younger guys with more potential ice time in Providence.

OR

Use Pelletier as a sweetener to unload Murray. Pelletier gets a better chance with another club (FWIW, Ottawa isn't really deep with prospects), and Murray's contract is off the books in a way that is less humiliating.

My personaly opinion, he's a guy who's got career AHL'er written all over him. Showed he can tear it up in the A but I'm not sure he's really got what it takes to excel in the NHL. Bochenski-esque....but of course, as others have stated, he hasn't really gotten a fair shot in the NHL yet, and likely won't get that with the B's. I like the suggestion of adding him to a Murray deal to sweeten the pot, and hopefully he will get his shot at the NHL.

I think he deserves another shot at the NHL, but suspect it won't happen here.

I also would like to see him get a shot with the bruins. But if he doesnt play here, i'd rather we sign then trade him. He's a good player and we shouldnt just let him go.

As most have said, I think he'll get his chance with another team. I wish we could see him get more time in the bigs here, but there just isn't enough room here I think.

I remember last season I went to a PB game and there was this 14-ish year old girl infront of me. She gave Pascal a thumbs up and waved, and he just grinned at her real quick. Her father then said "oh, he's a dead man."

He reminds me of Ryan Callahan. The callup he got this year was not a try-out but more of a fill in. Players like him need to make a significant impression when they get a chance. I liked what I saw from him in the one game I saw but.

We should just use him as trade bait to move up in the draft
